Cohabitation and Marriage

Individuals wishing to live together or marry are wise to consider a Cohabitation Agreement or Marriage Agreement to help decide some of their financial issues in advance.

A Cohabitation Agreement pertains to a couple who wish to live together in what is often referred to as a common-law relationship while a Marriage Agreement pertains to a couple considering marriage or who are already married to each other.

Both types of agreements help mitigate disputes with respect to support and/or property should a couple choose to separate.
